This is a "macro studio" that I made myself using about $3. It's great to use for auctions on eBay when you want to present a small item in great light.

All I did was find a suitable sized box (this is a printer-paper box I had laying around). I cut out two sides and taped tracing paper (about $2 at Walmart) over the cut holes. Then I cut a piece of posterboard (costs about 60 cents) to fit into the box. I taped it in, keeping it curved in the box. Doing the posterboard this way creates a seemless transition between background and floor of the image. And that's that. Takes about 5 minutes and the results are great as you can see in the other images.
