I keep getting asked what gear i use so here's a pic.
From Left to Right.
Canon Eos 1D Mark II. Canon Eos 1D Mark II. 16-35mm f2.8L Lens. 1.4X Converter. 2x Converter. 300mm f2.8 IS L Lens. Two Pocket Wizard Plus II Radio Triggers (I have just added a third, an early Xmas pressy to myself.). EX580 Flash, with added 3.5mm jackplug. EX550 Flash. EZ540 with added jackplug socket. 70-200 2.8L Lens. Spare Camera Batteries. 50mm Macro Lens. ST-E2 Infra Red Flash Trigger. Watch makers screwdrivers. Forceps. Mug Shots. Swiss Army Knife (never leave home without one). Mini Maglite. Tooth Brush. Manfrotto Table Top Tripod with ball and socket head. Flash Cards. Shammy Leather ( the most important piece of kit that a marine photographer should carry) Pocket Wizard remote camera cable. All this apart from the 300 fits into a Domke F2 Camera Bag.
Not shown are a Gitzo Studex Reporter Tripod with ball and socket head. Various light stands and bogen (manfrotto) superclamps.
Lighting; high strobe left through fish fryer. right open strobe through large difuser screen. Large white reflectors top and bottom. 15th second to pick up the red lights on strobes and wizards.
There is a small beer for anyone who can work out the methodology by which i took this pic using gear actually in the picture.
